This role is 80% remote. We will equip you on a laptop, mobile phone, external storage drives and if necessary, we will find a shared office space for you in the area where you are living.
Who we're looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
Two or more years of experience working with Amazon Web Service technologies.
Three or more years of experience as a Systems Engineer in a Windows/Linux environment.
Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure in AWS.
Experience in the automated deployment of infrastructure and services using Cloudformation in AWS.
Knowledge of the principles/methodologies and tools used in Continuous Integration
Experience setting up and maintaining AWS Cloudwatch.
Designing and maintaining IAM security policies within AWS.
Knowledge of designing and deploying highly available solutions in AWS using VPC and Route53.
Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience automating operational tasks using Windows Powershell.
Monitoring performance troubleshoot systems problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, patching, collaborating with System Engineers & Architects on optimization.
Knowledge and troubleshooting ability on all aspects of the Networking Stack.
Experience working in an operating system agnostic infrastructure.
Even better if you have:
AWS Solutions Architect certification.
Provide on-call support for the Development Operations team in an outage situation.
Work as part of the team to ensure projects and goals are delivered to aggressive timelines
Ongoing maintenance of documentation relating to new and current systems throughout the organization
Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation
Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical issues to all levels of the organization (both technical and non-technical).
